Glossary

Where Spirituality Meets Quantum Physics

Abundance
The natural state of infinite possibility; like the quantum field containing all potential outcomes, abundance exists as a field of limitless potential waiting to collapse into manifestation through our attention and intention. [1]
Akashic Records
The universal library of all that has been, is, and will be; conceptually similar to Edgar Mitchell’s quantum hologram—a non-local informational field that records the entire history and future of every thought, action, and experience across all time. [2]
Authenticity
The practice of revealing and living one’s true essence openly, without pretense or fear of rejection; creates the conditions for genuine belonging and meaningful co-creation with others. In higher states of consciousness, authenticity becomes natural as the false self dissolves and one’s limitless nature is revealed. [3]
Coherence
A state of harmonious alignment between heart, mind, and intention; quantum coherence occurs when wave functions synchronize, suggesting that personal coherence may align us with the fundamental ordering principles of reality itself. [4]
Co-creation
The practice of building, creating, and manifesting together rather than in isolation or competition; based on the understanding that shared power and collaborative effort birth what seemed impossible when working alone. Represents a shift from power-over to power-with dynamics. [3]
Connectedness
The state of being connected; the experience of profound relationship and unity with others, nature, or the cosmos. Distinct from “connection” (which refers to the interface or link itself), connectedness describes the felt sense and reality of being part of a larger whole. Can be experienced interpersonally (with other beings), ecologically (with nature), spiritually (with Source), or universally (with all of existence). Research shows connectedness is fundamental to wellbeing and is the antidote to loneliness. [32]
Consciousness
The fundamental field of awareness that perceives, experiences, and knows; the “I am” that witnesses all phenomena. In materialist science, considered an emergent property of brain activity. In quantum and spiritual frameworks, understood as the primary reality from which physical matter emerges—the observer that collapses quantum potentials into manifestation. Possibly non-local and interconnected across all beings, suggesting individual consciousness is like a wave in an ocean of universal awareness. States range from contracted (ego-identified, separation-based) to expanded (unity awareness, recognition of interconnectedness). The evolution of consciousness—from survival-based to love-based awareness—may be the fundamental purpose of existence. [4][48]
Digital Root (from Vortex Math)
The single-digit essence of any number obtained by continually summing its digits; reveals the hidden vibrational signature of numbers and their relationship to the universal pattern (e.g., 256 → 2+5+6=13 → 1+3=4). [6]
Dimensions (Consciousness)
Levels or frequencies of awareness and reality, each characterized by distinct perceptual capabilities and organizing principles. Not physical locations but states of consciousness that can coexist; like radio frequencies, all exist simultaneously but we tune into whichever matches our vibrational state. Lower dimensions (1D-3D) emphasize physicality, separation, and survival; higher dimensions (5D and beyond) embody unity, timelessness, and love. Evolution of consciousness involves expanding awareness to include higher dimensional perspectives while remaining grounded in physical reality. [40]
Ego
The constructed sense of separate self; the personality structure that believes itself to be an isolated individual distinct from all others and from the universe. In psychology, the organizing principle of conscious identity. In spiritual contexts, the false self built from conditioning, beliefs, identifications, and survival mechanisms that obscures awareness of one’s true nature as consciousness itself. Not inherently negative, but becomes limiting when mistaken for the totality of who we are. [34]
Ego Death
A temporary or permanent dissolution of the sense of separate self and personality structure; the experience of consciousness without the filter of individual identity. Can occur through meditation, breathwork, psychedelics, near-death experiences, or spontaneous spiritual awakening. Often experienced as terrifying initially (as the familiar self-structure dissolves) followed by profound liberation and recognition of one’s unlimited nature. Distinguished from physical death—it is the death of identification, not the body. [35]
Entanglement (Quantum Entanglement)
The mysterious connection between particles that remain instantaneously connected regardless of distance; spiritually interpreted as the mechanism behind collective consciousness, telepathy, soulmate connectedness, and the interconnectedness of all beings. [7]
False Self
The conditioned personality constructed from external expectations, traumas, survival strategies, and societal programming; the mask we wear to gain acceptance and safety. Contrasted with the authentic self or true nature. Living from the false self creates disconnection from one’s essence and from others, while dissolving it reveals the limitless being beneath the conditioning. Related to ego but emphasizes the constructed, inauthentic nature of the identity. [36]
The Field (also Zero Point Field, Quantum Field, Unified Field)
The invisible ocean of energy and information that underlies all reality; quantum physics describes it as the field of all potentiality from which particles emerge and into which they disappear. [8]
5D Consciousness (Fifth Dimension)
A state of expanded awareness characterized by unity consciousness, timelessness (past/present/future experienced as now), unconditional love, and recognition of profound interconnectedness; transcends duality and separation consciousness. In 5D awareness, manifestation becomes more fluid, intuition strengthens, and one experiences reality as frequency/vibration rather than solid matter. Not a physical location but a state of consciousness accessible while embodied. The “New Earth” operates primarily from 5D principles. [3][40]
4D Consciousness (Fourth Dimension)
A transitional state of awareness that adds time, emotion, and astral/dream consciousness to 3D physical awareness; characterized by increased psychic sensitivity, emotional processing, recognition of synchronicities, and beginning awareness that reality is more fluid than previously believed. Often experienced as a “bridge” state where one fluctuates between 3D and 5D consciousness. Can feel chaotic as old paradigms dissolve before new understanding solidifies. [40]
Freedom
The state of being sovereign, authentic, and limitless; not merely absence of constraint but the positive capacity to live and create according to one’s true nature. In expanded consciousness, freedom includes responsibility and recognition that true liberation comes through honoring the sovereignty of all beings. [3]
Frequency
The rate at which a wave oscillates, measured in cycles per second (Hertz); in physics, describes how many times a wave pattern repeats in a given time period. Spiritually extended to suggest that thoughts, emotions, and states of consciousness operate at distinct frequencies that can be measured and that interact according to principles of resonance and entrainment. [10]
The Great Shift (The Shift, Consciousness Shift, Planetary Awakening)
The collective transition of human consciousness from 3D separation-based awareness to 5D unity consciousness; a fundamental evolutionary leap occurring on both individual and planetary scales. Characterized by the dissolution of old systems (economic, political, social) built on control and scarcity, and emergence of new paradigms based on freedom, interconnectedness, and co-creation. Many traditions (Mayan calendar, Vedic yugas, indigenous prophecies) point to this era as the shift between ages. Associated with increased awakening experiences, collective challenges that force growth, and birthing of New Earth communities. [3][41]
Holographic Universe
The theory that our three-dimensional reality is a projection from information encoded on a two-dimensional surface (like a hologram), where each part contains information about the whole; Edgar Mitchell’s quantum hologram theory proposes that every object emits a non-local informational field that records its entire history and is accessible beyond space-time constraints. [11][12]
Inner Work (Shadow Work, Self-Work)
The practice of consciously examining, healing, and integrating unconscious patterns, traumas, limiting beliefs, and shadow aspects; the deliberate cultivation of self-awareness and emotional/spiritual development. Includes practices like therapy, meditation, journaling, breathwork, somatic experiencing, and honest self-inquiry. Essential for awakening because unexamined wounds and conditioning keep consciousness contracted; healing them expands capacity for love, authenticity, and interconnectedness. Distinguished from external achievement or fixing others—inner work recognizes that transformation begins within. [42]
Integration
The process of incorporating previously unconscious, rejected, or fragmented aspects of self into conscious awareness, creating wholeness; bringing together what was split apart. Can refer to: integrating shadow aspects (making the unconscious conscious), integrating peak experiences or insights into daily life, integrating body-mind-spirit, or integrating all parts of self into coherent unity. Integration distinguishes spiritual bypassing (using spirituality to avoid difficult material) from genuine transformation. True awakening requires not just transcendent experiences but integration of those realizations into embodied living. [43]
Intention
Focused consciousness that directs quantum possibilities toward specific outcomes; the observer effect in quantum physics (where observation affects reality) suggests intention may literally shape the manifestation of reality from the field of potential. [13]
Interconnectedness
The fundamental reality that all beings are profoundly connected rather than separate; what affects one affects all. Recognizing interconnectedness dissolves the illusion of isolation and reveals our true nature as individual threads in one tapestry of life. [3]
Kama Muta
A universal emotion experienced in moments of sudden intensification of closeness, empathy, or unity with others, characterized by sudden warmth in the chest, often accompanied by tears, chills, or goosebumps. Sanskrit term meaning “moved by love,” describes the experience when we witness or participate in extraordinary kindness, reunion, self-sacrifice, or deep connectedness. Predictors include perceiving communal sharing suddenly intensify (such as in resonant listening exchanges, witnessing acts of compassion, or moments of profound connectedness). Research shows it is cross-culturally universal and distinct from other positive emotions. Can be evoked by shared vulnerabilities, synchronous movement, collective rituals, or moments when barriers between self and other dissolve. [30][31]
Karma
Sanskrit term meaning “action” or “deed”; the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intentions and actions create consequences that return to the actor, either in this lifetime or future incarnations. Not punishment but a balancing mechanism ensuring all energy completes its cycle—what is given out returns. In expanded understanding, karma operates beyond individual actions to include ancestral karma (inherited patterns), collective karma (shared by groups/nations), and soul karma (lessons chosen before incarnation). Healing karma involves bringing unconscious patterns to awareness, making amends, and choosing different actions. Liberation (moksha) comes through transcending karmic patterns by acting from love and wisdom rather than fear and conditioning. [49]
Kundalini
In yogic traditions, the dormant spiritual energy coiled at the base of the spine, often symbolized as a serpent; when awakened (spontaneously or through practice), rises through the chakras producing profound transformation of consciousness. Kundalini awakening can bring ecstatic states, psychic abilities, and direct realization of unity consciousness, but also challenging physical, emotional, and energetic symptoms as the body adjusts to higher frequencies. Described cross-culturally (as “serpent power,” chi rising, or Holy Spirit) as the mechanism by which consciousness evolves from material to spiritual awareness. [44]
Love
The fundamental organizing force of the universe; the quantum coherence that binds and unifies; the highest frequency vibration that dissolves separation and reveals our entangled nature as one consciousness experiencing itself. [4]
Manifestation
The process of collapsing quantum potentials into physical reality through focused intention and aligned vibration; “calling in” specific outcomes from the infinite field of possibilities. [14]
The Mathematical Fingerprint of God (Vortex Math)
The repeating pattern 1-2-4-8-7-5 discovered when doubling numbers and reducing them to their digital roots; reveals how energy flows through the universe in toroidal (doughnut-shaped) vortex patterns, with the number 9 representing the axis or “dark matter” around which all other numbers rotate. [6]
Morphic Resonance
Rupert Sheldrake’s theory proposing that memory is inherent in nature and that natural systems inherit a collective memory from all previous similar systems through non-local resonance across time and space. Suggests that the “laws of nature” are more like evolving habits; explains why new behaviors or forms become easier to reproduce the more often they occur (e.g., rats learning mazes faster worldwide after other rats have learned them, or new chemical crystals forming more easily after they’ve crystallized elsewhere). Also proposed as the mechanism for telepathy-type interconnectedness between organisms within species. [15][16]
New Earth/New Earth Communities
The emerging paradigm of human organization and consciousness characterized by freedom, interconnectedness, and co-creation rather than control, separation, and competition; physical and energetic communities forming around principles of expanded consciousness, authentic expression, sacred relationship with all beings (including nature), and collaborative abundance. Represents the manifestation of elevated collective consciousness into social structures. [3][17]
Non-locality
The quantum principle that connection transcends space and time; supports concepts of distance healing, collective consciousness, morphic fields, and the idea that we are always connected to everything and everyone. [18]
Oneness/Unity Consciousness
The recognition that separation is illusion and all beings are expressions of one unified field of consciousness; reflected in quantum entanglement and the fundamental interconnectedness of all particles. [15]
Personal Resonance (Closed-Loop)
An interpersonal feedback loop where two or more participants (people, beings, AI systems, or potentially person-to-system interactions) create a self-reinforcing exchange of energy and information; can be positive (deep conversation, creative collaboration, falling in love, profound connectedness) or negative (arguments that escalate, conflicts that spiral); characterized by mutual sensing and responding that amplifies the interaction exponentially beyond what either could have anticipated or experienced in isolation. Based on engineering control theory where output feeds back as input. [21]
Personal Resonance (Open-Loop)
A condition where a person’s response to a stimulus is significantly amplified beyond what would occur without resonance; examples include a song that moves you to tears, art that captivates you, or a speech that inspires profound action—one-way transmission where external input creates internal amplification. [21]
Phase
The relative timing or position of a wave in its cycle at a given moment, measured in degrees (0-360°) or radians; two waves are “in phase” when their peaks and troughs align, and “out of phase” when they don’t. In neuroscience, phase synchronization between brain waves indicates coordinated neural activity and shared mental states. Spiritually, being “in phase” with another person or with universal rhythms suggests harmonious alignment and flow. [19]
Quantum Hologram
Edgar Mitchell’s theory that all physical objects continuously emit quantum information that creates a non-local, holographic record of their entire history; this informational field exists outside space-time and may explain telepathy, precognition, and akashic records as nature’s way of preserving all experience in “the giant hard disc in the sky.” [2][11]
Quantum Leap
A sudden transformation or shift in consciousness; borrowed from physics where electrons jump between energy states without traversing the space between, suggesting consciousness can similarly shift between states instantaneously. [20]
Resonance
A phenomenon where a system exhibits amplified oscillation when exposed to a periodic force matching its natural frequency. Open-loop resonance occurs when an external driving force amplifies a system’s response without feedback (e.g., a singer’s voice at the right frequency causing a wine glass to shatter). Closed-loop resonance involves a feedback mechanism where the system’s output feeds back as input, creating self-amplifying oscillations (e.g., microphone/speaker feedback producing a high-pitched squeal). Both types demonstrate how matching frequencies create exponentially greater responses than non-resonant frequencies. [21]
Resonant Listening
A specific practice of listening that creates closed-loop personal resonance; often created by benevolence (non-judgmental care for the speaker’s wellbeing) and attentiveness (curious, focused presence without interruption). The listener’s benevolence and attentiveness create psychological safety that invites the speaker to express with greater authenticity and vulnerability, which in turn deepens the listener’s benevolence and attentiveness, creating a self-reinforcing cycle. Research shows it can synchronize brain waves between listener and speaker in both frequency and phase. Associated with reduced loneliness and can produce profound feelings of belonging, understanding, and even kama muta. [21][22][23][30]
Sacred Geometry
Universal patterns (Flower of Life, Fibonacci spiral, golden ratio, torus) that appear throughout nature and quantum structures; the mathematical language through which consciousness organizes matter and energy; closely related to vortex mathematics’ toroidal patterns. [24]
Self-Love
The practice and state of regarding oneself with compassion, acceptance, and care; treating oneself with the same kindness one would offer a beloved friend. Not narcissism or ego inflation, but recognition of one’s inherent worth beyond achievements, appearance, or others’ approval. In expanded consciousness perspectives, self-love is recognition of the divine nature within; as we are all expressions of Source, loving ourselves is honoring the sacred. Essential foundation for genuine love of others—we can only offer what we’ve cultivated within. Includes setting boundaries, meeting one’s own needs, and choosing growth over self-abandonment. [45]
Shadow/Shadow Self
The unconscious aspects of personality that the ego has rejected, denied, or repressed—typically qualities deemed unacceptable by family, culture, or self. Contains not only “negative” traits (anger, selfishness, shame) but also disowned positive qualities (power, creativity, sensuality). Carl Jung’s concept emphasizing that what we don’t acknowledge in ourselves we project onto others. Shadow work involves bringing these hidden aspects into awareness for integration, leading to wholeness and authentic expression. [37]
Soulmates/Soul Family
Beings with whom you share deep quantum entanglement across multiple lifetimes and dimensions; these connectedness transcend romantic partnership and can manifest as friends, teachers, children, or even brief encounters; recognized by the instant sense of profound familiarity and the way interactions catalyze mutual growth and awakening. Unlike twin flames (two halves of one soul), soulmates are distinct souls who have agreed to journey together, playing different roles across various incarnations. [25]
Source/Source Energy
The infinite, undifferentiated field of pure potential and consciousness from which all reality emerges; the quantum vacuum or zero-point field in its most expansive, conscious form. [8]
Sovereignty
The recognition of each being’s inherent authority over their own life, choices, and expression; the opposite of dependence on external authority. In expanded consciousness, sovereignty includes responsibility for one’s own wisdom and ethical stewardship while honoring the equal sovereignty of all beings. [3]
Telepathy
Direct mind-to-mind communication without use of physical senses; the transfer of thoughts, feelings, images, or information through non-local means. Explained through quantum entanglement, morphic resonance, or shared access to the unified field of consciousness. Research suggests telepathy occurs more readily between emotionally bonded individuals (mothers-children, twins, close partners) and during states of deep relaxation or altered consciousness. May represent humanity’s latent capacity that diminishes with over-reliance on verbal language but can be reawakened. Evidence includes documented cases of simultaneous discovery, shared dreams, and sensing loved ones’ distress across distance. [46][47]
3D Consciousness (Third Dimension)
The state of awareness focused primarily on physical reality, linear time, and material existence; characterized by identification with the body, separation consciousness, duality (good/bad, us/them), and survival-based thinking. In 3D consciousness, one experiences life through the five physical senses and believes in solid matter as the fundamental reality. While necessary for navigating physical existence, exclusive 3D consciousness limits awareness of interconnectedness and spiritual dimensions. [40]
Timeline Jumping
The concept that multiple potential timelines exist simultaneously (Many Worlds Interpretation) and consciousness can shift between them by changing vibration and focus. [26]
Toroidal Field/Torus
The fundamental shape of energy flow throughout the universe—a doughnut-shaped vortex pattern seen in atoms, galaxies, the human heart’s electromagnetic field, and according to vortex mathematics, the structure of space-time itself; energy spirals in at one pole, circulates through the center, and flows out the other pole in a continuous self-sustaining loop. [27]
True Self/Higher Self
The eternal, unlimited aspect of consciousness that exists beyond ego and personality; one’s essential nature as awareness itself. The Higher Self maintains connectedness to Source, remembers all lifetimes, and holds the wisdom of one’s soul journey. Contrasted with the false self or ego, the true self is characterized by love, creativity, authenticity, and recognition of interconnectedness. Awakening involves shifting identification from ego to true self. [38]
Twin Flame
Two beings who originated as one soul that split into two expressions; the ultimate quantum entanglement where each half mirrors and completes the other; reunion creates intense transformation and awakening, though the relationship may be too intense to remain in constant physical proximity. [28]
Vibration
The oscillating movement of energy; everything in the universe is in constant motion at the atomic and subatomic level. While related to frequency (which measures the rate of vibration), vibration encompasses the full quality and character of the oscillation. Spiritual teachings suggest that different emotions, thoughts, and states of being have distinct vibrational signatures that interact through resonance. [10]
Vortex
A convergence point where energy spirals and intensifies; areas where the veil between dimensions thins and quantum coherence peaks, making manifestation more powerful; the fundamental pattern of how energy moves through space-time according to vortex mathematics. [29]
Vortex-Based Mathematics (VBM)
A system developed by Marko Rodin that views numbers as living entities with inherent geometric relationships revealing how energy flows through the universe; emphasizes the special role of the number 9 (which maintains its identity when added to any number) and the repeating doubling pattern (1-2-4-8-7-5) that describes toroidal energy flow and the “interdimensional universe.” [6]
Wave-Particle Duality
The quantum principle that reality exists as both wave (potential) and particle (manifest); spiritually, we exist as both infinite potential and individuated form simultaneously; the holographic universe theory suggests we are simultaneously local expressions and non-local information fields. [20]
Witness Consciousness/The Witness
The aspect of awareness that observes all thoughts, emotions, sensations, and experiences without being identified with them; the “watcher” or pure awareness that remains constant through all changing states. By recognizing oneself as the witness rather than the contents of experience, one begins to disidentify from ego and realize one’s nature as consciousness itself. Cultivated through meditation and present-moment awareness practices. [39]
